Jeff Grubb, an editor at GamesBeat and well-known videogame leaker who has repeatedly proved correct with his predictions, recently talked about the new Sony games coming out in 2021 in a recent episode of the Giant Bomb Show.
During the live on YouTube, the reporter said that according to some of his sources, Horizon Forbidden West would be postponed to 2022. Sony will reveal new details on the game and upcoming releases during a new State of Play scheduled for September 2021.
Over the past year, Sony and Guerrilla have confirmed multiple times that Horizon Forbidden West would be out in 2021, but in recent times postponements are on the plan, and the fact that the team has not revealed the release window in the course of the last State of Play can only create some concern.
As for the State of Play, some rumors were talking about a summer event, so if Jeff Grubb’s sources turned out to be correct, we would be talking about an appointment in the period between 1 and 22 September.
Just a few months ago, Jeff Grubb had predicted the release date of the Elden Ring trailer, stating that the video was in the hands of Geoff Keighley and that the game would be shown during the Summer Game Festival.
More recently, the reporter also correctly anticipated the announcement of the Dead Space Remake, revealing the name of the team working on the game well in advance. In short, the journalist’s sources are quite reliable, so we have to wait for a few masses to discover Sony and Guerrilla have opted for a postponement.
