Square Enix will officially bring Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song to Europe 30 years after its release in Japan.
The classic JRPG was originally released on the SNES in Japan, but a PS2 remake was later developed and released solely in North America. That remake version is being remastered and will be the one coming to PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile this winter, marking the first official release in Europe since its original release in 1992.
Here you can take a look at the announcement trailer, which shows two minutes of gameplay and cutscenes:
Minstrel Song follows eight different characters on their journey through the land of Mardias and the remaster includes:
- Improved graphics.
- New quality of life features to make gameplay more comfortable.
- Even new gameplay elements.
The “Glimmer” and “Combo” systems from the previous games will also be in Minstrel Song Remastered, along with new artwork and a soundtrack by composer Kenji Ito.
