Remnant: From the Ashes, the third-person action game with soulslike components from Gunfire Games, debuted in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and recently received a next-gen upgrade. Now the game seems ready to land on Nintendo Switch, or at least this anticipates a new classification that appeared in the last few hours on the ESRB website.
The rating does not leave much room for doubt, so we can take the imminent release on the handheld console for granted, complete with a 17+ rating. The timing of the classification also suggests a possible announcement during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase scheduled for tonight. Still, it is always possible that Nintendo and Gunfire decide to keep the surprise in store for a few more months. In all cases, it is quite likely that the release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase will be broadcast live on YouTube starting at 6:00 pm today, December 15, 2021, and run for approximately twenty minutes. Some fans are hoping for the appearance of Hollow Knight: Silksong, but it is certainly more likely that the presentation of the new game by Team Cherry will take place in the first half of 2022. We will see if the big N manages to surprise us or not.
