After Rainbow Six Quarantine and Rainbow Six Parasite, Ubisoft decided to give the name Rainbow Six Extraction to the new PvE shooter it has been developing.
To whet fans’ appetites ahead of the conference scheduled for E3 2021, Antoine Vimal du Monteil, the game’s producer, revealed the new game’s name, along with a video showing its main antagonist. This mysterious parasite has become escaped containment.
Ubisoft also revealed that the game has grown immensely since the beginning of its development and that it takes the foundations of Rainbow Six Siege to create a “modern tactical shooter where players will face an ever-evolving alien threat.”
Rainbow Six Siege was announced at E3 2019, with a release planned for 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected its development, forced to a postponement. Since then, a leak has revealed some gameplay details, such as some playable characters and the parasites players will have to defeat.
It’s quite likely that more information about Rainbow Six Extraction will be announced at Ubisoft Forward.
