Qualcomm has recently released its latest fast charging technology, the new Quick Charge 5. Quick Charge 5 is a significant improvement over the version of Quick Charge 4 that was released several years ago.
This is seen because Quick Charge 5 supports 100W speed. Even so, Qualcomm claims if Quick Charge 5 can maintain battery temperatures up to 10ºC cooler than the Quick Charge 4 version.

According to the company, using Quick Charge 5, a 4,500mAh battery can be charged from zero to 50% in just 5 minutes. Of course, the charging time is very fast.
Quick Charge 5 also uses Qualcomm® Battery Saver and Qualcomm® Smart Identification of Adapter Capabilities technology. A technology to support efficiency and help extend the battery life cycle on user devices.

He also added that Qualcomm is collaborating with producers to multiply production equipment and meet consumer demand.

This Quick Charge 5 charging technology from Qualcomm will begin to be supported by phones released in Q3 2020, which will be available for Snapdragon 865+ chipsets, and flagship chipsets from Qualcomm in the future.
