PS5 will finally allow gamers to have their latest screenshots and videos automatically uploaded to their mobile device.
According to the Gaming Interactive Photos Twitter account (and as reported by VGC), players will be able to upload their screenshots to their PlayStation mobile app automatically. As you can see in the following tweet, video clips sent to devices will be limited to three minutes or less, while more general captures will have an expiration period of fourteen days.
Regardless of the limitations, this is a step forward for gamers on Sony’s next-gen console. Until now, gamers who wanted to watch their latest videos on mobile had to invest in additional equipment or upload them to social networks from their consoles and then download them from there.
According to VGC, to check if your console already has this feature, you’ll need to go to your console’s Media Gallery, where you should see the above popup if it’s available. The feature has already been in beta testing in some regions, but it appears to be rolling out worldwide.
From the Clip Organizer options, you can choose if you want the console to upload your most recent screenshots to mobile automatically or if you prefer to keep them only on your PS5 system.
