The Pokémon Company has announced the release date for the Switch of Pokémon Unite. The MOBA will therefore arrive on July 21 on Switch and in September on mobile devices. Along with the announcement, a new trailer for the game was also released.
The Pokémon Unite cross-platform MOBA will be released on Nintendo Switch on July 21, The Pokémon Company has announced. Pokémon Unite was announced by The Pokémon Company in June 2020 and is a cooperative team battle game created in collaboration with Tencent.
The game is in development at Tencent Timi Studio, which also made Activision’s Call of Duty Mobile. It will be released as a free-to-start title for both mobile devices and Nintendo Switch, with cross-platform play supported. News of the release date was accompanied by a new trailer, which can be viewed below.
Those who log in before August 31 will get the exclusive Pokémon Zeraora.
Pokémon Unite features two teams of five battling for control of a game map, similar to many popular MOBA titles. Players can level up their Pokémon during matches, unlocking new moves in the process.
