The leak on the upcoming Pokémon games has been officially confirmed during the Pokémon Present just broadcast: Diamond and Pearl’s rumored remakes have been announced. They will be titled Briliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The two titles will arrive later this year on Nintendo Switch.
The recent Pokémon Presents for the 25th anniversary of the series has announced that fans have been waiting for a long time, namely Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the remakes of the chapters published on the Nintendo DS in 2007. The Pokémon Company has shown gameplay clips from the chapters coming to Switch later this year.
As explained in the live, these are two faithful remakes of the adventures set in the Sinnoh region. The games will be developed by ILCA Inc. (who worked on Pokémon HOME) and involve Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda, the director of the original Nintendo DS titles.
The proportions of the original cities and paths have been preserved and recreated in great detail. The starters to choose from will be Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, in an adventure that promises to be interesting for both fans and those who have not lived. Games released in 2007.
As announced, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl do not currently have a release date and are expected by the end of 2021.
