Sony has announced that PlayStation Now will support 1080p streaming for games that allow it is starting this week.
PlayStation shared the news via Twitter and confirmed that the update will roll out slowly over the next few weeks in Europe, the US, Canada, and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available.
To date, PlayStation Now could only support streaming up to 720p for its over 800 games. The service also lets you download over 300 PS4 games to play at up to 4K resolution.
Subscribers can play, among others, Marvel’s Avengers, Borderlands 3, and The Long Dark, games added to the service last month.
This is certainly an improvement for PlayStation Now, but it is important to remember that while the service is available on PS4, you can only play PS4, PS3, and PS2 titles at the moment.
