In this chapter of the Phasmophobia guide, you will learn how to use the Crucifix – one of the essential items that ghost hunters take with them on missions.
You can see hunters waving a Crucifix in many ghost movies in front of a ghost to ward him off, but in Phasmophobia, the Crucifix is used a bit differently. Instead of keeping the item with you, throw it on the ground in the room with the ghost – preferably in the middle. It should be noted here that the Crucifix reduces the chance of a ghost attack and prevents it from starting the hunt, but it does not completely prevent it.

Restrictions
Before using the Crucifix, please note that it does not have an unlimited range. The crucifix area of effect for most ghosts in Phasmophobia is 3 meters, but with Banshee, it has been increased to 5 meters. One Crucifix cannot be used indefinitely, as it only has two charges – after using them, you need to buy a new one.
- In a small room, it is enough to place one Crucifix in the center. In a large room, preferably two on both sides;
- If the ghost is out of range of the Crucifix, it will be able to start hunting normally;
- Once the ghost has started the hunt, the Crucifix will not be able to protect the players;
- When the Crucifix blocks the hunt, you won’t receive any information – it will just disappear after using two charges.
