Owlcat Games announced the release date for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The game will be released on September 2 for PC via Steam and GOG.
Additionally, the studio opened its doors to a second beta period, which covers the first four chapters of the game and is reserved for fans who funded the game through Kickstarter.
In addition to including the content of the first beta testing period, the second round of testing debuts Crusadas, a management and strategy game mode where players control an army in a fight against demonic hordes.
Players will be able to experience new quests, abilities, and class archetypes, as well as a dynamic clime system.
For now, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will only be released for PC. Its predecessor, Kingmaker, was also originally released for PC only, having later been adapted for consoles. Owlcat has already promised to share its console plans soon.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous was announced in 2019, and although it is part of the same universe as the first game, it is not a direct sequel. Owlcat Games again resorted to a Kickstarter funding campaign that proved extremely successful to finance the game, with the studio raising €1.82 million.
