According to trusted insider Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is working on a new multiplayer PvPvE video game called Pathfinder. The game, now in development and with a release date to be defined, could be presented as early as 2022 and is described by the journalist as a Hyper Scape with cartoon graphics.
Tom Henderson has received confirmation of the game’s existence from three different sources, and in his exclusive for eXputer reveals that he has managed to obtain some gameplay footage that certifies the existence of the project. In the article, Pathfinder is described as a co-op video game in which four players dive into a labyrinthine map, with the ultimate goal of reaching the center and defeating an AI-controlled boss. Henderson talks about different layers of walls with doors that can be broken by the players, which change from one game to another. The four players must work together to find the correct path, survive the attacks of hordes of increasingly strong enemies, reach the center, then eliminate the boss.
Henderson describes the game as a PvPvE, so users will also have to compete with other teams made up of real players in addition to watching their backs from AI-controlled enemies. Before each game, it will also be possible to select your character, called “Hero,” who will be able to count on specific skills and weapons.
Tom Henderson has always proved to be very reliable, and at the moment, his track record is unblemished. A few days ago, moreover, the insider correctly predicted the announcement of Rainbow Six Mobile, so it is evident that he does have sources inside Ubisoft. However, this new project appears to be still in the early stages of production, so it is impossible to predict when it will hit the market.
