Blizzard is struggling with some really serious sexual problems right now. This issue also translated into development processes, which should not come as a surprise if we consider that the investigation, as mentioned earlier, also applies to people with high positions in the company.
Unfortunately, the gaming giant has just announced that two highly anticipated productions will appear later than planned in the recent plan. The advent of Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 should not be expected shortly.
Interestingly, none of the games mentioned had an exact release date. So what delay are we talking about? Well, these long-awaited productions were to appear soon, on a date set as “after 2021”. Unfortunately, due to Blizzard’s decision, players have to be extra patient because “soon” has just turned into “sometime.”
However, the studio plans to present to players some of the content that will include these two games next year. Does this mean that none of them will make their debut in 2022, and we can only count on new trailers and gameplays? Probably yes.
It is worth adding that less than two months ago, Blizzard revealed that next year’s Overwatch season would use new elements that were originally supposed to debut only in Overwatch 2. This may be how the studio prepared for a possible delayed announcement of the sequel.
As for Diablo 4, the game’s new director, Joe Shely, said early last month that the title was going smoothly. Well, it looks like the plan already back then was potentially delaying the launch.
