A popular leaker dealing with graphics cards – “kopite7kimi” – reached the specification that is allegedly currently being tested by Nvidia. The impressive equipment seems to be the top device from the Lovelace family, i.e., the RTX 4000 series.
It is currently unclear whether the RTX 4090 Ti is referred to (if that is the name), but the specification is huge: over 18,000 CUDA cores, plus 48 GB of GDDR6X memory with a bandwidth of 24 GB / s. A lot of electricity is needed for this, even 800 W.
For comparison, the RTX 3090 Ti is 10.7 thousand. CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory at 21 GB / s. So the growth is clear, but some observers speculate that the numbers are so high that Nvidia may be reviving the Titan series.
One thing is certain: he called the device “the beast,” which seems to be an appropriate term. As calculated by TechRadar, the above data would translate into 142 streaming units and the same number of ray tracing cores (84 in 3090 Ti). It remains to wait for official information. The RTX 4000 family is rumored to debut later this year.
