No More Heroes 3 – the third installment in Grasshopper Manufacture’s saga about Travis Touchdown, the professional otaku assassin with a laser katana – now has a release date on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
Specifically, the official account of Marvelous, the game’s publisher, has confirmed that these versions will go on sale on October 6, 2022. Currently, the date is only confirmed in Japan, but it is expected to be a simultaneous release.
The game was originally exclusive to Nintendo Switch upon its original release in August last year, but new versions for consoles were announced last April. In principle, the game will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S. Originally, a version for PC was announced, but no further information about it has been confirmed.
The new versions of the game will include 4K graphics and 60 frames per second – unlike the Switch version, which was quite poorly technical – and will add Japanese dubbing to the Japanese version of the game. Although the developer of No More Heroes is a Japanese company, the games in the saga have always been dubbed into English as the main language as an aesthetic decision.
