Five years after the disastrous launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, No Man’s Sky is highly rated on Steam, and Hello Games and its leader Sean Murray has managed to redeem themselves in the eyes of fans thanks to dozens of exciting free updates. The studio, however, seems to have no intention of stopping, and only a few moments ago, it surprisingly published No Man’s Sky: Sentinel, the first free update of 2022.
In addition to introducing new missions and content, the Sentinel update brings improvements across the board, focusing primarily on the combat system. Mechs can now accompany the player, fight alongside him, and use new weapons. Most of the guns have been revisited, and now the shots are more realistic and satisfying. The AI of the enemies has been improved; new drones have been added, new weapons to fight them, and new equipment, including an optical camouflage and a stun grenade. The complete list of changes is available on the official website.
No Man’s Sky is available for purchase at a discounted price on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. The game is also available on Xbox Game Pass and can be downloaded at no additional cost by all subscribers.
