Nintendo has confirmed that all Nintendo 64 games available in the new Nintendo Switch Online subscription tier will be playable at 60Hz, not at 50Hz, as suggested by the rumors of the last few weeks.
Therefore, all the great classics included in the new add-on package will use the NTSC version and not the old European PAL version, which is great news as the original PAL versions were known to run at a significantly lower frame rate.
Nintendo unveiled the new Nintendo Switch Online subscription during the latest live event, announcing that with the new subscription, fans could play the great classics for Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive on Switch as well.
The release of the new tier is set for the end of October 2021, and masterpieces such as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be available at launch.
