After months of waiting, NieR Re[in]carnation has also landed in the West, where it is available right now on iOS and Android devices. The game proved to be a great success in Japan with over ten million downloads.
NieR Re[in]carnation is a turn-based role-playing game set in the same universe as NieR: Automata and its prequel, NieR Replicant. The player controls a little girl dressed in white, led by a ghost called “Mama” in a labyrinthine kingdom named Cage. The little girl must atone for her sins by facing her past and find a hidden object inside the maze, avoiding the attacks of a mysterious dark demon.
The game is available for free on smartphones, but the servers will only be activated in a few hours, so it will probably not be possible to start a game until late in the evening. If there are problems in managing the number of players, the wait could last until the morning of July 29th.
