Electronic Arts have released another NHL 21 trailer. The main character in the video is Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin. The developers also announced the project’s launch date – the simulator will be launched on October 16th for PS4 and Xbox One.
The video is an excerpt from several moments in Ovechkin’s career: selected episodes were even reflected in the game. Probably, the developers recreated some of the athlete’s moves in the NHL 21. The look is accompanied by the hockey player’s comments about his passion for the sport.
The project is now available for pre-order on the PS Store and Microsoft Store. Buyers of the extended and full editions will have access to the simulator three days before the owners of the basic version.

In late July, Electronic Arts announced its refusal to develop an enhanced edition of the simulator for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The company attributed this to “a desire to focus on introducing new features instead of wasting resources on porting the game for a new generation of consoles.” Despite this, the game will be available on future consoles thanks to the backward compatibility system.
