Frogwares has released new trailers and details for Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. The trailer highlights some of the new locations and crimes that players will encounter on the island where the game takes place.
- The story takes about 15 hours to complete. Those who wish to do all side quests, however, will take around 30 to 40 hours;
- Combat takes place only when it is justified by history. You cannot shoot random people on the streets, for example. However, at times, you can attack an enemy and not kill him – if you choose to eliminate him, there will be consequences, such as worsening your relationship with John;
- Sherlock’s mansion, although abandoned, is where he spent his childhood. That said, you can restore and customize it as you wish. It is also possible to purchase different clothes for Sherlock, some of which are cosmetic and others necessary for the story;
- The game is in pre-alpha, and the gameplay will be revealed in detail in December or January. There will be support after launch with DLCs, but it is not a “game as a service” – it is a complete experience.
