Before the announcements of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the remakes of Diamond and Pearl, the celebratory event for the 25 years of the series were opened with new gameplay and unpublished information on New Pokémon Snap, the sequel to the title published on Nintendo 64 in 2000.
The most avid fans of Game Freak’s collectible monsters already know that on April 30 will arrive on Nintendo Switch New Pokémon Snap, the new episode of the spin-off series dedicated to “capturing” perfect photos of Game Freak creatures during their distant life from fights and gyms. The gameplay of the game was shown during the Pokémon Presents event, and new information was provided.
As we know, the adventure is a “shooter on tracks” in which to face various excursions in the Lentil region aboard the Neo-UNO, to observe the Pokémon in their natural environment. The aim is to explore jungles, deserts, and sea depths to help Prof. Speculux and his assistants Rita and Fil take rare photo shots.
From an Alolan Raichu surfing to unusual expressions and behaviors for Pokémon. To stimulate the creatures to particular reactions, it will be possible to throw objects such as apples to offer a snack to the photo’s subject or play melodies to cheer our “prey.”
Also, Speculux will provide inventions such as the Lumina Sphere capable of triggering particular reactions in Pokémon: from making them glow in the night to changing the color of fire-type creatures’ flames. Capturing rare moments affects the final score of the photos, and these can be edited and shared with other players.
Recall that New Pokémon Snap will be available from April 30 on Nintendo Switch.
