EA Sports announces that fans from around the world will have access to top-tier stars and new items when playing the FIFA 21 VOLTA FOOTBALL mode, with the presence of talents that converge in the world of football, music, and fashion.
Now names like Mbappé, the star on the cover of FIFA 21 and leader of a new generation of football, Diplo, award-winning artist, producer, and DJ, and Anthony Joshua, Olympic gold medalist and twice unified world champion in the heavyweight category, will be available as avatars for players on VOLTA FOOTBALL.
Fans will also see world-renowned soccer players such as Kaká, Eric Cantona, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and other big names to be announced soon to increase their talent in VOLTA.
VOLTA FOOTBALL in FIFA 21 also receives items from renowned fashion brands such as Adidas and Nike, as well as an exclusive VOLTA FOOTBALL collection curated by Héctor Bellerín, who assumed the role of Creative Director to make the line inspired by its roots in the Barcelona skate scene and its current vegan lifestyle.
“Héctor brings a unique perspective, not just as a top player, but as a socially conscious voice at the intersection of football and fashion,” comments David Jackson, EA SPORTS FIFA Brand VP.
“We are excited to share his vision in a collection that confuses these lines, influenced by his family and his relationships in the fashion world. The goal is to bring his good taste, personality, and voice to our brand in a way that involves our fan base, and his first launch, inspired by the Barcelona skate scene, does just that. FIFA players and players are sure to see more of Héctor in the title this year”.
Just as today’s football culture extends off the field, new releases within the game and the arrival of aesthetic items continue to blend real football with the culture, creativity, and authentic style of the game on the courts and the streets. See the trailer here.
There will also be another big news from VOLTA FOOTBALL as yet another Brazilian touch in FIFA 21. The lively matches in the 3 × 3 No Goalkeeper’s court on the slab of a building in downtown São Paulo will feature a Guto Nejaim, voice actor, and narrator sports car with a high profile career on Brazilian television, especially remembered for its motorcycling broadcasts. Guto’s voice will liven up the São Paulo crowd and VOLTA FOOTBALL players in intense disputes with emblematic scenes from the center of Sampa as a backdrop unmistakable Copan building and the Avenida Paulista antennas.
