Fast Travel Games has taken advantage of its participation in Gamescom 2020 to reveal a trailer in mixed reality with the gameplay of its new project, Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife, a virtual reality horror title that will hit the leading platforms early next year and that adapts the role-playing game of the same name, immersing us in the World of Darkness, the same universe in which Vampire: The Masquerade takes place and Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
In this title, we will be the supernatural being, a specter that stealthily roams the Barclay Mansion. Exploring every corner and manipulating objects from a distance thanks to our special powers, which we must improve to access secret or inaccessible areas of the mysterious residence. We can catch whispers, go through walls, and modify the environment that surrounds us. Fear and suspense merge in a story where life after death does not bring tranquility, but restlessness and unease.
The cursed house is full of haunting haunts and sinister specters, each with its backstory and connection to a greater mystery. Trapped between the world of light and darkness, against the backdrop of Hollywood’s golden age’s decadence, we must discover the cause of our demise and a way to transcend and stop being trapped in the Barclay Mansion.
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife will launch for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, Quest, and S via the Oculus Store, and HTC Vive and Valve Index via Steam early 2021.
