Square-Enix has just revealed new information about the long-awaited Neo: The World Ends With You, the sequel to one of the most special JRPGs in the Nintendo DS catalog released in nothing more and nothing less than 2007. After The announcement of this long-awaited continuation, the editor has dated the title for next July 27 of this year.
The video game was planned to be released on Nintendo Switch and PS4, but with the confirmation that more new news has arrived, it has also been confirmed as a version for PC. Also, this barrage of news has reached us in the form of a new trailer. So those of you who want to sink your teeth into this particular product can enjoy a small preview of the gameplay.
The title takes place after the original The World Ends With You and around 3 years after the anime. The plot focuses on Rindo, the protagonist of the story, and his participation in the Reapers game. Little else is known, but we can see how someone appears shrouded in mystery to save Rindo and company throughout the trailer. There is speculation with Neku from the first installment. Still, this mysterious figure has yet to be confirmed, as are unknowns about the antagonists’ role of the original title.
It seems clear that despite the desire we have for the return of the franchise, some of us are already missing the two Nintendo DS screens. In this sense, and given the impossibility of replicating DS screens’ distribution, now it will be the AI in charge of managing the other group members. Be that as it may, Neo: The World Ends With You is one of those JRPGs you have to keep track of and one of the most anticipated titles by many for this summer. We already have the date on the agenda.
