NBA 2K21, the new title from Visual Concepts released by 2K Sports, was inundated with negative reviews from PC users due to the poor conditions in which it was launched. The game would suffer from various optimization problems, sudden crashes, and sporadic bugs, and a somewhat prohibitive shooting system.
At the moment, the game’s Steam page has just over 1,500 reviews, of which over 80% are negative. On Metacritic, the situation is not too different, with valuations at historical lows for the saga.
NBA 2K21 has been received negatively by fans since the announcement, mainly due to the next-gen version’s price. The versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X will cost ten dollars more, while the free upgrade will only be available by purchasing the Mamba Forever Edition, sold at a much higher price.
We’ll see if the developers try to win fans’ trust by adopting a timely update policy with NBA 2K21.
