My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble was unveiled in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the Shueisha weekly in which the My Hero Academia manga is serialized. The new video game will be a free-to-play battle royale coming out on consoles and PC soon. It will allow you to experience intense battles between twenty-four players starring the famous characters of the Kohei Horikoshi series.
At the moment, the publishing house has not gone too far, revealing only the title of the new video game, the very first details, and the release platforms, namely PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam). However, it is possible to see some images among the WSJ pages, including one in particular that seems to anticipate the presence of a game mode with teams of three players.
“Take part in epic 24-player battles in this new multiplayer video game!”, So the game will likely offer a My Hero: One’s Justice style fighting formula with real-time battles between seven teams of three, where the last team is standing will win the “real victory.”
Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble will be free on all platforms so that we can expect the presence of an online store for microtransactions and a Battle Pass. The Closed Beta will begin soon, and the game is expected to be released in general in 2022.
