Warner Bros. Games announces that from 19 to 27 May, the Closed Alpha of MultiVersus will be held, the new free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First Game that contains a cast of iconic characters drawn from the main Warner Bros. IPs. The invited testing session will allow players to experience the latest MultiVersus content, including 2 vs 2 team play and a wide range of heroes and characters, from Batman (DC) to Shaggy ( Scooby-Doo ), through to Bugs Bunny ( Looney Tunes ), Arya Stark ( Game of Thrones ) and many more.
The Closed Alpha will be available on all platforms the game will be released, namely PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC, with support for cross-play and netcode with rollback on dedicated servers to ensure solid online competition. Players can already register on MultiVersus.com for the chance to participate. We remind you that since the number of places is limited, registration does not guarantee participation in the test.
For gamers more interested in gameplay, a new video was also released today in which two members of the Player First Games development team face off against two professional players from the Fighting Game Community (FGC): Tony Huynh (Game Director of Player First Games) and Daniel Kraft (Principal Developer of Player First Games) challenged Tyrell “NAKAT” Coleman and James “VoiD” Makekau-Tyson to a best-of-three duel in the game’s 2 vs 2 modes. The match also offered a preview of the Scooby’s Haunted Mansion map, available in Alpha.
MultiVersus will be released in 2022 on consoles and PC and will be completely free. The developers are trying to create an experience suitable for all, casual gamers and competitive gamers. For this reason, it has been announced that MultiVersus will also be present at this year’s EVO 2022, scheduled from 5 to 7 August in Las Vegas.
