Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is about to receive Update 4, introducing many changes and new features to the game, as illustrated in the presentation trailer and details released by Capcom (via Gematsu ). The update will launch on September 30 on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, and in addition to numerous fixes through a nice patch, there will also be some new content that expands the story.
Among the novelties, two new monsters are coming: Kulve Taroth (great difficulty) and Molten Tigrex, and the first of the two can only be fought with a cooperative quest. On October 7, the Dreadking Rathalos will also arrive, along with further quests.
As for the additional quests, the new co-op quests for September 30 are Fury of the Earth (Time), Oroshi Kirin (Slay), and Dragon Eggs (Explore), with more planned for October 7 (Elder Dragon Den, Dreadking & Molten, Dreadking Rathalos, and Molten Tigrex).
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will receive in addition to the numerous bug fixes with the patch in question (both on Nintendo Switch and PC) also a Battle Buddy. That is, it will be possible to start a quest with your adventure partner by selecting “Start Now” in the Riders Hub.
