Unlike what was seen in Dark Souls, Elden Ring will not allow players to wear rings. The change of course in this sense was explained by Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of FromSoftware and creator of Elden Ring, during an interview with EDGE magazine.
“There are two reasons for this choice. The first is that we made a lot of use of rings as wearable objects in our previous games, Dark Souls in particular, and therefore the talismans this time helped us see things differently. with different designs, “explained Miyazaki. “The second reason is that the rings will physically exist, but they will be unique objects that will have to do with the story and with unique events of some characters. So we wanted them to have a special place in the world of Elden Ring and also to be different, for as regards the design, compared to the talismans “.
In the same interview for EDGE, Miyazaki also explained how Elden Ring comes very close to his ideal game. We remind you that the release of the next FromSoftware game is scheduled for February 25, 2022, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
