Dead Cells reaches 3.5 million in sales; Fatal Falls paid DLC announced

Dead Cells continue to be supported, and more content will arrive in the game in January and February. In addition to the “ The Bad Seed ” DLC and the “ Barrel’s o ‘Fun ” update, a new update called Malaise will bring more free content to the game and will be available in February (already released on the PC in December). The paid expansion Fatal Falls, which arrives now on January 26, will add significant and more important content to the game. The Malaise update will bring:

  • New Katana weapon.
  • New enemy Demolisher, which was created from suggestions in the game’s discord.
  • 2 new clothes with Christmas themes.
  • A new secret room in the castle with information from the game’s lore.
  • New consumable, Camembert cheese.
  • New system for changing the status and colors of weapons, where Tactics, Brutality, and Survival have been redesigned to better intertwine with objects of the same style and combinations.
  • The backpack, inserted in update 19, is now an upgrade to be purchased at Collector. It had adjustments to select which slot of the backpack to use and also improvements in the controls.
  • New 5 mutations will be available and available for use on any weapon, no longer just two-handed weapons.
  • After several alpha and beta tests on the PC, the new Malaise system has been improved through player feedback in different ways. The system is like a contamination bar filled with time, and the player needs to eliminate enemies for the contamination to stop in each biome.
  • Other adjustments and corrections.

The Fatal Falls DLC will include 2 new biomes to the game, a new boss, and new weapons and items. The new biomes, Fractured Shrines, and Undying Shores will appear parallel to the others in the middle of the game, such as Stilt Village or Clock Tower. Scarecrow is the new boss who will appear in these biomes, and dozens of weapons and items will also appear throughout his journey, as well as 10 new sets of clothing.

Parallel to this, celebrating the launch of new content, the game, and its DLCs will be on offer from January 26, with a discount of up to 50% for the game and 33% for expansions. Check out the gameplay trailer for the Fatal Falls expansion below.
