Promising a rework after months without news, Ubisoft finally showed off what Tachanka looked like in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. A few months ago, it was leaked that this Russian operator will have a grenade launcher, today we finally know that the leak is true.
Today Ubisoft officially announced how to rework Tachanka, one of the basic operators of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. The same as the leak that had surfaced, his signature line “LMG mounted and loaded” has ended. However, this does not mean that he lost his LMG.
This time Tachanka will use her DP27 LMG as a primary weapon. This weapon will be able to destroy several wooden walls and hatches that have not been strengthened. In contrast, the gadget will be replaced with the Shumika incendiary grenade launcher.
Shumika incendiary grenade launcher will be able to launch fire grenades that will damage the surrounding area. The grenade will bounce off, making Tachanka no need to see certain areas or passages before firing it.
Tachanka will also have Zofia’s Withstand passive skill, where she can fight back after being knocked down. This ability was added to overcome if the player misses the grenade and hits himself.
Apart from the DP27, Tachanka’s second primary weapon is the 9x19VSN SMG with the PMM or GSH-18 for the secondary. It will have a barbed wire or proximity alarm for both gadgets.
Ubisoft plans to release a new version of Tachanka on October 8 tonight on the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege test server. It will be released permanently on the live server when Operation Shadow Legacy takes place.
