LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been postponed beyond its slated spring 2021 release window. While no new date has been given, TT Games will provide a new release date “ASAP.”
TT Games shared the news on Twitter, saying, “All of us at TT Games are working hard to make LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga the biggest and best LEGO game ever, but we’re going to need more time to do it. We won’t be able to meet the planned spring release date but will provide updated launch timing as soon as possible.”
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga spring 2021 release date was announced during Gamescom 2020’s Opening Night Live, along with confirmation that the game will have upgraded versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Originally revealed at E3 2019, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will feature levels from all nine Skywalker Saga films and feature the largest collection of playable characters in LEGO Star Wars history.
However, this is not a simple collection or remake as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a brand new game built from A to Z and intended to “shake up the formula [of LEGO games] and try something completely different. “
