Konami announced something surprising about the flagship football game series Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). They showed a teaser video that showed an overview of PES in the next-gen version.
Through his official Youtube account, Konami showed a small picture of the next-gen version of PES projections by bringing Lionel Messi as a visual example of the trailer. Interestingly, after years of PES using the Fox Engine as its main engine, they now carry an innovation by presenting the Unreal Engine as the PES engine in the future.
Konami said that the new engine’s presence would bring PES to a higher level with innovative improvements in visuals, animations, and gameplay mechanisms in the game later.
Later, the next-gen version of PES was promised by Konami first to be tested at a time in the middle of 2021, before finally it could be fully released in the same year.
Keep in mind that the PES next-gen in question is PES 2022. For PES 2021, Konami has confirmed to IGN that PES 2021 will be a standalone game with a lower price than PES 2020, not a DLC update like many previously rumored.
