Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo will officially launch The Nioh Collection, including Nioh and Nioh 2, on PS5 early next month. Along with that, Nioh 2 Complete Edition will also be available for PC on the same date. Some additional images of Nioh 2’s gameplay have recently been shared by the publisher, shot in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second on PS5.
This 14-minute video will give you a better understanding of how the game is played on PS5 and how it is different from the PS4 version. We can see two boss fighting missions during the cutscene and many other encounters that end mainly in a bloody battle between the protagonist and the enemy. Also, a small scene of the customization options is shown somewhere in the middle of the video.
In addition to showing what the new generation of Nioh 2 looks like, this footage is a great guide for those who have not yet played the games in the series. Best known for its soul-like play style, Nioh 2 offers story-based campaigns played in single or cooperative modes. As a prequel to the original Nioh, in Nioh 2, you create your own character and begin your mysterious journey in a fantasy world connected to Japanese legends and mythology.
Nioh 2 received favorable reviews when it launched at the beginning of last year. The game also receives great post-launch content, making it worthy of getting the full edition of PS5 or PC. However, it doesn’t look like there will be any new rumors for the Nioh series anytime soon, as developer Team Ninja recently revealed many more development projects. There is currently no room for another Nioh.
It has not yet been seen what other projects Team Ninja is working on and whether they are based on the same genre as Nioh or not.
