Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation is the free version of Dead or Alive Xtreme, designed to be more “bold” than the console version. Moreover, their limited presence on the PC makes Team Ninja, Koei Tecmo, and DMM Games able to do whatever they want so that the guys stay happy. Of course, with restrictions, they don’t want to cross, namely excessive sensuality.
This does not make players who are skilled at cracking video games not intrigued to make video game mods that are actually quite vulgar. Unfortunately, instead of distributing them for free, he sold them. Knowing this, Koei Tecmo immediately caught the culprit via the Kanagawa prefectural police.
Through its press release, Koei Tecmo Japan explained that the suspect was someone from Kanagawa. He is selling a naughty naked mod for Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation at auction. The suspect was charged with an amount of money following the copyright infringement law in force in Japan. Koei Tecmo didn’t want to say the amount at all.
At the end of the press release, they explained that they would not bother if there were a similar illegal act and proceeded to process it legally.
Creating mods yourself is actually prohibited by law, especially for online games like Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation. But by not selling it, it is allowed by every developer. Instead, they will immediately sue and process it legally.
Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation is currently only available on PC exclusively via DMM Games (Japanese only) or Steam with English support. However, the contents of the Steam version are one year slower than the Japanese version.
