It Takes Two will be released on March 26, 2021

Today, Electronic Arts and Hazelight Studios have officially revealed that It Takes Two, a platform adventure game created especially to be a collective experience, will be available on March 26, 2021, for consoles and PC.

Developed by the industry leaders in cooperative gaming, It Takes Two is the latest title from Hazelight, the BAFTA award-winning studio with A Way Out. Featuring unique and varied gameplay and an engaging and interconnected narrative on a fantastic journey, the game follows the couple Cody and May as they seek to learn how to overcome differences and work as a team as one. It Takes Two puts players on a turbulent and wonderful ride so that they discover that there is only one surprise: we are better together.

“At Hazelight, we are always looking to push the limits of what is expected from games, and It Takes Two will tie your head in a knot!” said Josef Fares, founder and game director at Hazelight Studios. “We took everything we learned from our previous games and improved the level, connecting narrative and game mechanics to create an innovative experience. Players will take a journey through crazy challenges in a fantastic world, unlike anything they have ever seen. It will be completely different from what people expect from a cooperative game!”

“We are very excited to be working with Hazelight on their second release at EA Originals,” said Steve Pointon, Senior Vice President of Content and Development 3rd Party at Electronic Arts. “Hazelight has a unique storytelling method that unites gameplay and storytelling, leading to a deeply engaging and exciting experience. We can’t wait for everyone to experience first-hand the innovation, talent, and skill with which they created this game”.

Embark on a brand new and mind-boggling journey in It Takes Two, an adventure platform game built exclusively for co-op. Take the place of Cody and May, two humans transformed into dolls by a magic spell. Trapped in a fantastic and unforeseen world, they are challenged to save their weakened relationship. In It Takes Two, players work together on a huge variety of joyfully disturbing challenges, such as flying underwear or DJing in a busy nightclub. With the characters’ skills connected to each new level, an abundance of unexpected obstacles, and fun moments, fans will make their way through a unique experience.

Invite a friend to play for free with the Friend Pass and have even more fun playing in cooperative mode and facing challenges that can only be solved together. There will always be a very cool and unexpected new challenge to overcome on every corner, including violent vacuum cleaners and gentle love gurus. Boredom will never be a problem. Whether in local or online cooperative mode, It Takes Two presents various ways to play as a team and form an unsurpassed team.

It Takes Two is now available for booking and will be available in retail and digital stores on March 26, 2021, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin and Steam. All players and players who purchase It Takes Two on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the next generation version free of charge from the same date.
