Intel has just officially announced the presence of its newest processor, the 11th generation Intel, named Tiger Lake. It is known that the processor comes with Thunderbolt 4 support, WiFi 6, as well as significant improvements in performance and durability.
Called the best processor for laptops with a thin and light form, Intel is known to present the highest variant of this 11th generation processor by presenting the Intel Core i7-1185G7 while the lowest variant is the Core i3-1110G4.
For the Core i7-1185G7, the processor comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics with a 3.0 GHz speed, a Turbo Single-Core speed of 4.8, and an All Core Turbo of 4.3 GHz. The resulting performance requires only 12 to 28W of power. Overall, there are nine 11th generation processors presented by Intel.
Intel says that its new generation processors are still made with a 10nm fabrication process, the same as the previous 10th generation, Ice Lake. However, Intel ensures that the performance of this 11th generation processor is far superior.
Although it does not mention how much performance improvement is generated, it is predicted that this new processor will deliver 20% superior performance when used for official purposes.
It is planned that Intel’s new line of processors will soon be present in new laptops launched after the fall of 2020.
