At the end of 2020, we get the release of Immortals Fenyx Rising and it proves to be a pleasant surprise among many other titles from Ubisoft that follow their popular open-world formula. After more than a month since its release, Ubisoft has now rolled out a title update in preparation for the game’s upcoming DLC pack as well as addressing some technical issues across all platforms. This will be Immortals’ first major update.
According to game patch notes, Title Update 1.1.0 will be available to all players Thursday morning. The patch applies several fixes for some major issues such as a storage bug affecting the Xbox Series X version of the game and some localization fixes as well as some of the smaller gameplay tweaks. By far, the biggest and most exciting addition is a new mission that serves as a teaser for the upcoming A New God DLC.
The missions, which appear on the map as “When In Olympos”, are timed challenges where you have to make your way to the end to get some sweet loot. The game’s official website lists the DLC pack as “the legendary trial and challenge of the gods” so this short demo seems to be a very clear indicator of the full version that will be available once it’s released.
There are currently no confirmed release dates for A New God at this time, but it can be assumed that it won’t be much longer. There are still two more DLC packs on the way for Immortals Fenyx Rising, Myths of the Eastern Realms, and The Lost Gods. Given how fast Ubisoft made its first patch, soon more details will be shared regarding Fenyx’s next expansion and ongoing mythological adventures.
Immortals Fenyx Rising available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia.
