Heart Machine, the indie studio author of the 2D action game Hyper Light Drifter, will be a guest on Xplay’s microphones on March 31, 2022, on the occasion of the game’s sixth anniversary. There is big news on the horizon. During the celebratory event, studio founder Alx Preston will talk about the company’s history and play Hyper Light Drifter alongside presenter Jirard Khalil. In the end, he will make a big announcement related to the future of the series.
Fans are hoping for sequels, but considering that Solar Ash, the studio’s second job, only saw the light last December, it’s hard to think that the time may already be ripe for an announcement. A far more likely alternative is that the studio has begun work on expanding the story, but in all cases, these are mere speculations.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long for the announcement since the appointment is set for Thursday, March 31, in exactly one week, on Twitch and YouTube. Pending the event, we remind you that Hyper Light Drifter is now available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and mobile.
