Sega and Amplitude announce that Humankind, the historic 4x strategy game, has been pushed back a few months for release in August.
Originally slated for PC release on April 22, Humankind is now dated August 17, 2021. The postponement is to help Amplitude’s development team “focus on improving accessibility, pacing, balancing, diplomacy and artificial intelligence.”
As a thank you for players’ patience, Humankind’s pre-orders now offer two additional avatar sets, Lucy and Edgar Allan Poe.
Players have always had a central place in Amplitude’s philosophy. Releasing HUMANKIND in August will give us extra time to continue working with the community, fine-tune the game and ensure its optimal release, ”said Romain de Waubert de Genlis, Studio, and Creative Director, in a statement.
When released in August, Humankind will be available on Steam and the Epic Game Store, and Stadia.
