Amplitude Studio and SEGA have decided to postpone the release date of Humankind, the highly anticipated strategy coming to PC and Stadia, to be able to solve all the accessibility, polishing, and balancing problems detected in recent months. The developers thanked the fans for their patience and said that to make up for it, and they will include some extra content for those who pre-order the Humankind: Digital Deluxe Edition.
Specifically, the team announced that it would focus on “improving the areas identified by the community during the last Lucy OpenDev when players tested 4 eras and 40 cultures to make their suggestions”.
Romain de Waubert de Genlis, head of the development studio, commented on the postponement: “It was exciting to see the community get their hands on the game during the last few sessions of OpenDev and hear all the positive (and constructive!) Feedback. They have always been at the heart of Amplitude’s philosophy. In August, the release of Humankind will give us more time to continue working with the community and perfecting the game for an incredible day one experience. “
Humankind will debut on August 17th on PC (Epic Store and Steam) and Google Stadia. Below you can take a look at all the achievements of the players during the beta period.
