IO Interactive will continue to support Hitman 3 throughout 2022. To celebrate the dream sales and the milestone of fifty million players for the World of Assassination Trilogy, they have decided to preview the first part of the Roadmap Year 2. Among the main novelties, starting from January will arrive Ray Tracing on PC, support for VR, new elusive targets, and a “colossal update full of surprises” scheduled for the spring of the new year.
The representative of the Danish studio thanked fans for the support, stating that over fifty million players have tried at least one chapter of the Hitman trilogy and that the studio intends to support the game during the new year.
Year 2 support will begin in January, with Ray Tracing on PC and the new version of the game for VR devices. Next will come new elusive targets, game modes, maps, and story missions. It is not clear whether for free or through a paid Season Pass, while in the spring, a colossal update will be published “full of additions that the community has been asking for a long time.” Abrak has confirmed that more details will be revealed by January 20, 2022.
