Devolver Digital has announced Gunbrella, a new dynamic adventure in punk-noir sauce starring a gruff woodcutter armed with the most original weapon of recent years. The game is currently in production at Doinksoft, the development studio of Demon Throttle and Gato Roboto, and will be released in 2023 only on Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam).
In Gunbrella, players take on the role of a woodcutter who becomes a detective on a mission for personal revenge. The game is a noir-hued, dynamic scrolling adventure. Users will face hordes of gangsters, ghouls, cops, cultists, and monstrous creatures born of supernatural force, relying on their beloved Gunbrella, a rifle/umbrella, to eliminate enemies and open up to protect against opposing blows. The game will also feature NPCs for extra missions, resources for upgrading your arsenal, and characters to interrogate for more story information.
Gunbrella was announced during Nintendo’s latest Indie World Showcase and will be released in 2023 only on Switch and PC. For other Devolver Digital products, you can take a look at Card Shark.
