Less than a month has passed since the announcement of Happy Chaos, but Arc System Works has decided to reveal well in advance the name of the fourth playable character arriving in January on Guilty Gear Strive. After Goldlewis Dickinson, Jack-O ‘Valentine, and the insane gunslinger presented in November, it has been confirmed that Baiken, the one-armed samurai seeking revenge against the Unnamed, will open the dance in 2022.
Baiken was introduced in 1998 in Guilty Gear, the first installment of the series, but only as a secret boss, and has finally become playable in subsequent chapters. In the story, she is moved by a strong hatred and a deep desire for revenge towards the Unnamed, whose Gears killed both parents when she was a child and deprived her of her right arm and left eye. In the game, he fights with a katana that can cut anything and uses a wide variety of long-range weapons, including firearms and a grappling hook. Below you can take a look at the teaser trailer of the character, during which the new arena is also shown.
Baiken will be the penultimate DLC character of Season Pass 1 (€ 29.99) but can also be purchased individually for € 6.99. We can expect a full trailer in the second half of January 2022. However, the latest DLC character included in Season Pass 1, the second extra arena, and a new story will arrive in the spring.
