Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, the new bundle from Rockstar Games with GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, will not only include a simple graphical upscale of the three great classics of the series, but also many improvements on the technical front and the controls. The confirmation comes from the official Rockstar website, recently updated with a page (later removed) in which the main innovations of the Collection were described.
“Three iconic video games, three epic stories,” the site read before the removal, “Replay the three great classics that make up the GTA trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III , Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , now updated for the next generation, with far-reaching improvements including a new lighting system, game environment upgrades, high-resolution textures, improved line of sight, Grand Theft Auto V- style controls and more, all in one package that packs these much-loved video games with a new level of detail. “
The main problem of the three video games, or the control system and of shooting, is updated directly recovering the mechanics of GTA V. This choice should exponentially improve the quality of the experience, making missions less frustrating at the time made overly complex by unresponsive controls. As for the graphics quality, we are talking about improved textures and a new lighting system, but broadly the games will be the same, so the signs of age will be evident.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be released before the end of the year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Switch, and PC (via Rockstar Launcher), and in 2022 on mobile. According to the first rumors, the game will be sold at full price.
