GTA Online’s new Los Santos Tuners update introduces new ways to collect and play music, including finding EPs in the game world.
While Los Santos Tuners is mainly about creating new social spaces and missions around custom cars, it also includes much new musical content. Moodymann – a real DJ who came to GTA Online with the Cayo Perico Heist update – returns in the new update under the alias of Kenny while also providing players with missions.
For the first time in GTA Online, there are also Media Sticks to collect; new music is added to the radio in-game when players find them. These include ‘Kenny’s Backyard Boogie Mix.’ Some tracks come out in GTA Online first before they can be heard elsewhere.
There are also four sticks from Rockstar’s new record label, CircoLoco. These are all from the Monday Dreamin’ EP’s that came out in real life. When all four sticks are found, you unlock a DJ mix where all twenty songs are combined into one long mix, Seth Troxler’s ‘CLR Launch Party.’
Players can customize their wheel of radio stations for the first time with so much music available now. This makes it easier to have your favorite stations under the shortcut.
This week, Los Santos Tuners was released as a free update, adding new vehicles, a social space, missions, races, and more. We will see even more missions soon, a kart-racing mode, and a new arcade game in GTA Online. In November, we get a next-gen version of GTA, and there are still some surprises waiting for the twentieth anniversary of Grand Theft Auto 3.
