Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that the team behind Gran Turismo 7 “will not compromise” regarding attention to detail for the next PS5 racing simulator.
Yamauchi-san commented at the FIA Gran Turismo Championship 2020, where he revealed that “applying an incredible amount of attention” to various details is a hallmark of Polyphony Digital’s production style.
We always pursue the best at Polyphony Digital. We don’t want to make concessions on anything. We want to deliver the best to everyone. And this is no longer just my thinking, but it’s the mindset of all 200 or so staff at our company.
In Japan, they say that ‘divinity comes to reside in the details,’ and it’s so true. How much attention you pay to the fine details, perfect it, hone it to perfection, and apply an incredible amount of attention to this is our production style.
Gran Turismo 7 will be released in 2021 for PS5.
