In an interview with Game Informer, thank you wccftech, Game Director Geoff Ellenor reveals some information about Gotham Knights’ co-op mode.
Ellenor reveals that players can create game sessions, configure match-making to their liking and invite friends. In the interview comes the information that takedowns are designed specifically for the cooperative mode.
“You can invite friends into your game and control match-making settings to determine if you’ll be surprised by people who show up. You can also play solo. We have co-op takedowns designed to show the physicality of characters working together. There’s a lot of synergy in how one hero’s ability influences the fight against another. The Nightwing is the strongest indicator of this; many of his abilities consist of having buffs for his friends and protecting others.”
In the same interview, Executive Producer Fleur Marty says that we can choose repeated characters, which will influence the interactivity between the characters, creating funny situations.
“We leave that up to the players. We know that some people will want to have different characters, but some people won’t mind. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there’s a funny moment in the game if you’re playing with two identical characters. you total freedom.”
There are still several months left until the arrival of Gotham Knights, scheduled for October 25th of this year, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
