Ghostrunner is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X on September 28, publisher 505 Games announced last Wednesday.
The PS5/Xbox Series X version of Ghostrunner comes with improved graphics and performance, including some new features. If you missed the news earlier, a Ghostrunner sequel is also in the works for PS5/Xbox Series X and PC.
Graphically, the PS5/Series X version gets post-processing HDR, a ray-tracing fidelity mode, 3D audio, and other improvements. The PS5 version also gets haptic feedback on the DualSense controller. The game runs in 4K, 120 FPS with “instant loading.”
In terms of gameplay, the new versions of Ghostrunner will get all modes from launch, including a timer-based “Kill Run,” an enemy wave-based mode that has yet to be released, an accessibility mode, and a photo mode. These new modes are planned for the summer.
Ghostrunner fans can purchase a physical or digital edition of the PS5/Xbox Series X version for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, but if you already had the PS4 or Xbox One version, you’ll get a free upgrade.
