The representatives of the Sucker Punch studio have prepared a new set of screenshots from Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island. The published pictures show the variety of new areas in the expansion.
We can look at, for example, a rock formation called Saruiwa – this is the “Monkey Rock,” which can still be admired on the real island of Iki.
As in Tsushima’s case, the creators use authentic places and enrich the fictional world with imaginary areas to diversify the environment. One of such locations is the Senjo gorge or various buildings.
Iki Island is a story expansion of Ghost of Tsushima. The protagonist will set off on a journey to a smaller island where the “mysterious Mongolian tribe” is said to have settled. The new area is to be different from the main one in terms of vegetation and terrain.
The add-on is part of the Directors’ Edition, for which you will have to pay a minimum of $59.99 (on PS4). The owners of the basic version can use the option to buy an upgrade to gain access to a new area.
